Our Story

The Beginning

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away…

Actually, no. This happened right here.

On the other hand, if we start with “not so long ago”, it won’t sound epic enough. So let’s do it our way.

Picture this: blazing sun, salty sea air, and the first breath of freedom after COVID lockdowns. An entire generation of young people had spent their time at home wisely – learning instruments, devouring music, and dreaming about stepping onto a stage to blast some heavy tunes.

The Formation

Two of them, Preslav and Viktor, gathered their friends, cranked their amps, and called the newborn beast HELLBØUND. They started with a few covers, tossed in some home-grown riffs, and before they knew it – boom – their first tiny festival gig, in front of a full crowd.

That’s when they met Yaro and Master. Soon after, the lineup solidified: Master – guitar and vocals, Presli – guitar, Yaro – drums, and Viktor – bass. Shows followed, energy exploded… until one day, during a gig, a drumstick flew offstage and landed in the hands of a certain Ivo, who had just come to see “that band everyone’s talking about”.

Fate? Luck? Or a ridiculously accurate throw? Who knows.

The Evolution

Yaro moved to his true love – guitar. Master took full command of the mic. Ivo claimed the drum throne. And thus began HELLBØUND – the roaring, unstoppable metal machine.

From that point: relentless rehearsals, building their own studio, writing songs, and recording what can only be described as the very long-awaited debut album. Somewhere along the way, Viktor “Kifsuna” stepped off the train, and in stormed Georgi “Panda” – a bassist with monster skills and hurricane stage energy.

The Sound

Around this time, the term #jumbishmetal was born – a rocket-fuelled fusion of modern metal, classic riffs, breakdowns (obviously), and maximum stage chaos. HELLBØUND is not about “just playing music” – it’s about making the entire crowd jump, sweat, and scream their lungs out.

Random But True Facts About HELLBØUND

  • Every show eats at least 20 AA batteries for wireless gear
  • Hottest gig so far: +42°C. The crowd was even hotter
  • Coldest gig: a Christmas open-air – and no, we weren’t cold
  • Cymbals smashed in a single show: 2
  • Most blurred concert photos: Panda, because he never stops moving
  • Master has led crowd ab-workouts mid-set – yes, even in festival mud
  • Guitar picks thrown into the crowd during one gig: 30+ (management says “never again”… or at least “not every time”)
  • Most epic guitar poses – Presli, hands down (but the whole band is battle-trained in the art). Just check the photos!
  • Our “command center” during shows – Ivo, because he’s got an iPad (or sometimes two). Rumor has it he plays Angry Birds during breakdowns
  • Every HELLBØUND gig features a unique printed setlist – and yes, there are fans who collect them and almost have the full archive!
  • Once, a manufacturer of adult gaming apparel (don’t ask) offered us an endorsement… we politely declined

The Mission

HELLBØUND isn’t here to blend in. We’re here to crank it to 11, burn the stage, and take everyone along for the ride.

Metal up. Jumbish up. HELLBØUND is here.
